Jane Elaine "Tee" Rainey Street

Jane Elaine Rainey Street ("Tee") of Nederland, Texas died in the early morning hours of July 19, 2016 at her home.  Originally of San Francisco, California, she was born to Jim and the late Jane Rainey.  

​            Tee spent the majority of her life working in the service industry and was most recently employed by the Port Arthur chapter of the American Legion.  Serving the needs of others was not just her occupation but her life's ambition.  Friends and family have shared countless stories of times when she gave anything she could when they were in need.  Many have said that she played the role of “resident psychologist", always ready to give advice. Her hobbies included reading copious numbers of books and mastering computer and console games, always with a Dr. Pepper in her hand.  Tee had a deep love of music. She surrounded herself with music and especially loved listening to her many talented friends and family members.  She will be remembered for her spunky personality and caring heart.  

​            Ms. Rainey is survived by her children Suzie, Michael, Brett and Shannon; her father Jim and step-mother Elaine of Lumberton, Texas; siblings Joyce Rainey, Jimmy Rainey, Steve Rainey, Cheryl Rainey, and step-sister Michelle Mynier. She had 10 grandchildren of whom she was immeasurably proud. She also had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends including her beloved pets, Snickers and Kitty.  

​            A Celebration of Life will be held on August 6, 2016 at 2 pm at the Port Arthur American Legion on Memorial Highway.  Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Legion.
