Cecilia Faye Goins

Cecilia Faye Goins, 68, of Lumberton, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015. Cecilia was a genuine and hard working woman. She loved to play the accordion and sing with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting gifts for her grandchildren. Cecilia was raised Pentecostal and God and her church was always an important part of her life. The adoration she had for her family and church was apparent to everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Mary Wagner; son, Thad Steven Pruitt and sister, Mary Katherine Buxton.

She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Odom “Bryan” Goins of Lumberton; sons, Kevin Pruitt and wife Carla of League City, Tim Pruitt and wife Natalie of Orange and Paul “Spooky” Pruitt of Deridder, LA; daughters, Renee Stewart and husband Travis of Colmesneil, Ashley Goins of Lumberton, Monica Cantrell and husband Steve of Hitchcock and Tanya Smith of Deridder, LA; brother, Dale Wagner and wife Diana of Little Cypress; sisters, Karen O’Connor and husband Wayne of Orange and Kimberly Bornette of Orange; grandchildren, Chase Slaughter, Jacob Manchac, Michaela Manchac, Micah Pierce, Tristin Pruitt, Dorian Pruitt, Kenna Pruitt, Mason Pruitt, Kullin Pruitt, Branton Gordon, Bryan Gordon and Brayley Gordon, great grandchildren, Jason Stewart, Madison Ueckert, Hogon Ueckert, Brady Ueckert and Susan Ueckert.

The family will receive friends at Parkway Life Church of Lumberton from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Monday July 6, 2015. The funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 at Parkway Life Church, officiated by Pastor Nathan Keating. Interment will follow at Jett Cemetery in Orange.

Serving as pallbearers will be the men of Parkway Life Church. Jason Buxton is named as an honorary pallbearer.
