Travis Cole
August 19, 1933 ~ November 13, 2017 (age 84) 84 Years OldTravis Cole was born and raised in Silsbee, TX where he attended Silsbee High School. Travis joined the U.S. Army, but, found his way home every weekend he could to see the love of his life, Edna. Travis and Edna were soon married and raised their three children, Sandi, Alton, and Terri; they lost two sons at birth. Travis was not always a man of faith, but when he met Jesus as his Lord and Savior, he was truly changed. Travis and Edna were members of 1st Baptist Church of Lumberton where they raised their family. They taught Youth Sunday School and Travis was also a Deacon. Travis’ passion in life was his wife and family. Travis lived out his faith in God and was a great example to all who knew him.
Travis is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Cole; two infant sons; his parents, Neyland and Josie Cole; a brother, Avner Cole; and a sister, Doris Cole.
Travis is survived by his three children, Sandra Howard, and husband, Wesley, of Lumberton, Al Cole, and wife, Glenda, of Silsbee, and Terri Dunham, of Lumberton; a brother, Morris Cole, of Evadale; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; other family members and friends.
