William "Willie" Eugene Lyons

William “Willie” Eugene Lyons passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2020. Born in Houston, TX on February 20, 1979, Willie grew up in a loving home with his parents Earnest Nolan Boykin and Jo Ann Boykin. Being part of a large family instilled a focus on family into Willie from a young age and it was always a major part of his life. The consummate jokester and entertainer, to be around Willie was to be laughing and enjoying life. A loving husband and true partner to his wife of 22 years, Robyn Lynnette Hamilton Lyons, Willie was always taking care of any need that arose and constantly supportive no matter the situation. To say Willie had a bit of a “Super-Man Complex” might be an understatement; Willie would willingly drop anything to help anyone and as a jack of all trades there was almost nothing he could not do. Officially “You-Tube Certified” according to his own proclamations, Willie and his gregarious personality were always ready and up to whatever the task was. When not busy saving the world, Willie might be found at the lake, most likely on his beloved boat; a place he loved to be in his all-time favorite attire- cargo shorts and a fishing shirt. The life of the party, Willie loved to cook, grill, and spend time with his family and friends. Though he is gone too soon, Willie and his loving heart for others will not be forgotten.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Earnest and Jo Ann Boykin of Lumberton; his wife, Robyn Lyons of Buna; his children, Kamryn Nicole Lyons and fiancée Nicholas Shane of Buna, Clayton William Lyons of Buna, Conner Scout Lyons of Buna, Karleigh Noel Lyons of Buna; and his siblings, Patricia Ann Lyons of Houston, Beverly Ann Lovett and husband Justin of Lumberton, James Eugene Boykin and wife Jennifer of Lumberton, Belinda Ann Danna and husband Chris of Lumberton, Celicia Ann Biscamp and husband T.J. of Lumberton, as well as a host of family and friends.

Willie is preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Ann Guidry and Rebecca Ann Lyons.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held at Grace Church on HWY 69 in Lumberton, TX 77657 on Tuesday, October 27th from 9:00-10:00AM. The funeral service will begin at 10:00AM with a graveside to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine St. Beaumont, TX 77703.
