William Perry Griffith

William “Perry” Griffith, age 88 passed away on Monday July 1, 2024. He was born in Shreveport, LA, on January 25, 1936, to Fred and La Nelle Griffith.

Perry spent his early years honorably serving our country first in the Navy and later in the Air Force. During that time, he met the love of his life Miss Miriam "Joan" Perry, they were soon wed, and traveled all over the nation together as he served his time in the military. They became parents of two boys, Jeffery and James, and Perry showed them what it meant to be patriotic and give sacrificial love to both family and country. Perry worked for many years for Texaco as an electrician, and in his off time enjoyed working on cars. Devout members of the Assemblies of God Church, Perry and Joan decided to move to China as full-time missionaries. They fell in love with the people of China and served there for two years. William Perry Griffith will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife; sons, Jeffery Perry Griffith and wife Ellen, and James Michael Griffith; and grandson Bryan Griffith.

Preceding him in death are his parents.
