Willa Mae Leisure, born on April 2, 1933, passed away on May 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of closeness and friendship.
A loyal and steadfast friend, Willa was always there for those she loved, offering her unwavering support and care to her neighbors and friends. On December 4, 1952, she married her beloved husband, Ora, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Throughout her years, Willa was a nurturing presence, caring for many children as a nanny, leaving a lasting impact on their lives with her influence and affection. Known for her joyful spirit, she had a constant smile. Whether she was delighting her friends and family with her exceptional home-cooked meals, especially her signature chicken n' dumplings, or competing in the bowling lanes, where she earned many trophies, Willa approached life with enthusiasm and warmth. Her frugality and careful management of money were a testament to her wisdom, ensuring that she lived a life of resourcefulness and stability. To many, she was fondly known as "Mrs. Scottie", a name synonymous with kindness and reliability. Willa was truly one of a kind, wonderful, irreplaceable, and deeply cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Left to honor her memory are her longtime friends, JoAnn and Terry Blankenship and their family.
