Virginia Mae Willis, age 80, of Beaumont, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on July 8, 1944, to Edward and Mary Nicholson Huston.
Ginny, a true embodiment of goodness and honesty, left this world with a legacy of kindness and compassion. Her ability to see the good in people and trust in their hearts was a rare and beautiful gift. Ginny always spoke well of others and stood up for those in need, caring deeply about their struggles, no matter how big or small. Known affectionately to her grandchildren as "Grandma Ginny," she poured endless love into her family, especially her beloved son, Rocky. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were a constant in their lives, creating a foundation of love that will forever be cherished. Ginny's gentle nature and strong moral compass touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire all who knew her, and her innocent, unconditional goodness will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Left to honor her memory is her son, Rocky Willis and wife, Susan; sisters, Gloria Cloud, Shirley Strother, and Mary Ellen Treadway; grandchildren, Brandon Willis and wife, Ashley, and Andrea Maher; great-grandchildren, Kate Willis, Hailey Maher, Hannah Maher, Sean Willis, and Preston White; and a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
Preceding Virginia in death are her parents; brother, Edward Huston Jr.; and sister, Barbara Stewart.
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, October, 17, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S. Main St., Lumberton, TX 77657. Ginny's life honoring funeral service will being at 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home, with Bro. Scott Hawke officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Willis, Eric Cloud, Stoney Strother, Gary Strother, Mark Stewart, and Colby Willis. Honorary pallbearer will be Jason Cloud.
