Virginia Pearl Sawyer

Virginia Pearl Sawyer, age 84, of Silsbee, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023. She was born in Topeka, KS, on February 19, 1939, to George Washington and Elza Lawrence Golliher.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gene Ray Sawyer and wife, Sylvia Marie, of Lumberton, TX, Lee Sawyer and wife, Janice, of Silsbee, TX, and Wesley Wilbur Sawyer, of Silsbee, TX; grandchildren, Kristen Sawyer, Wyatt Sawyer, Jesse Sawyer, and William Sawyer; as well as a host of numerous family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Virginia in death are her parents; husband, Gene Raymond Sawyer; son, Andrew George Sawyer; and brothers, George Golliher, and Henry Golliher.

Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Virginia’s funeral service will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Beech Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Beech Creek Cemetery.
