Velma Lee White

Velma Lee White, age 85, of Lumberton, Texas passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. She was born in Port Arthur, TX, on July 09, 1937, to Jose Valenciano and Foleciane Babb.

Left to honor her memory are her sons, Dave Edward White and wife, Cindy, of Lumberton, TX, Johnny Joe White and wife, Shannon Star, of Lumberton, TX, Danny Ray White, of Lumberton, TX, and Carl “Bob” White and wife, Lucia, of Lumberton, TX; daughter, Julie Ann White, of Lumberton, TX; her companion, Johnny Garcia; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Edward White; brothers, Louis Valenciano, and Ralph Valenciano; and sisters, Mildred Nicotre, and Ruby Bonsell.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Velma’s life honoring funeral service will be Friday, July 7, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home with Father Andy officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
