Tommy Godeaux Sr. Obituary

Mr. Tommy Godeaux Sr., 74, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Tommy was born in Harrison, Arkansas on Monday, June 30, 1947, to Bill and Precious Godeaux. Tommy was raised with his five siblings in Texas where he would make his home and go on to raise his own family. At a young age Tommy began to work and never really stopped; a hard worker and consummate provider for his family, Tommy was a loving father. He loved to hunt and fish almost as much as he loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and his books. An honest man who often said what he thought and meant what he said, Tommy was the kind of man that you always knew where you stood with. Protective of his family with a big loving heart, Tommy was especially proud of his title as “PawPaw” to his ever-growing family of grandbabies. Tommy was a good man and the kind that leaves a lasting impression and memory on all those he met; he will be truly missed by all that loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jamie Landrum and husband David of Old Salem, Tommy Godeaux Jr. and wife Danette of Lumberton, and Bobbie Garcia and husband Robert of Buna; his siblings, Jerry Godeaux and wife Gwen, Bobby Godeaux and wife Connie, and J.R. Godeaux and wife Paula; his grandchildren, Samantha Wilcox and husband Timothy, Ashley Malone and husband Jason, Kiethena Godeaux, and Thomas “Trey” Godeaux III his great-grandchildren, Carson Wilcox, Greyson Wilcox, Everleigh Malone, and Weston Horn; as well as numerous friends, extended family, and acquaintances through the many years.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Godeaux and Precious Aline (Hankins) Godeaux; his sister, Diane Braham; and his great-granddaughter, Makayla Wilcox.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in Tommy's name.
