Teresa Lynn (Roe) Bell

Mrs. Teresa Lynn Bell, 51, passed away at her home in Spurger, on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Teresa was born October 20, 1969 in Shreveport, LA and was one of the three children born to Sam and Dorothy Roe.

Giving is likely one of the first words that comes to mind when thinking of Teresa. She loved to help in any way she could but took particular joy in working with children at her home church of Community Baptist Church in Spurger. Christmas time was certainly a special time for Teresa as she got to shop for children at the church, charities she supported, and her nieces and nephews. Teresa was a woman of deep faith, finding comfort and enjoyment in older gospel music and reading her Bible. If you wanted to see a look of joy, and experience Teresa’s animated storytelling, all you needed to do was ask about her puppies; she deeply loved them and was proud to share stories or show them off whenever she could. This deep love of caring for others that Teresa always displayed probably explains why she was such a dedicated and talented RN as well. Among those that Teresa gladly spent time taking care of was her beloved husband of 18 years, Thomas Bell. In those many years of marriage, Teresa was truly a woman in love, a devoted wife, and the best life partner one could hope to find. Whether you met Teresa in her capacity as a nurse, at church, or were lucky enough to be in her family- one thing is certain, you were blessed to have known her and will miss her deeply.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Thomas Bell; her parents Sam and Dorothy Roe; her brother David Roe and wife Patsy; her sister Monica Roe; and of course, her numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family, church family, and friends.

To honor Teresa’s life and legacy there will be a time of Visitation on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Community Baptist Church in Spurger. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM at Community Baptist Church in Spurger. Teresa will be laid to rest at Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger following the services on Saturday, February 13, 2021.
