Suzanne Hutchinson Obituary

Suzanne Delaine Godeaux Hutchinson, age 51, of Vidor, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. She was born on November 15, 1974, in Beaumont, TX.

Lovingly known as “Sue Sue,” she left this world having given it more than she ever took from it. She moved through life with the rare gift of never losing her sense of childhood, the sense of wonder and excitement, and that made her unforgettable. Outgoing and affable, Sue Sue had a way of becoming the life of every room she entered. It helped that she planned most of the parties herself. She brought people together with ease. You couldn’t help but love her when you met her. Nothing made her happier than time spent with her beloved nieces and nephews, who adored her in return. She poured herself into them, and to them, she wasn’t just an aunt; she was a friend and supporter. “Sue Sue” was one of the most selfless souls the Earth has ever seen. Fierce and strong‑willed, she stood up for what mattered and protected the people, and animals, she loved. She cared for every creature with tenderness, always ready to show kindness where the world had failed to. Due to her crafty and artistic nature, she was always working with her hands to create something special, little treasures infused with her personality. She loved cartoons and cartoon characters, embracing the whimsy they offered. Suzanne lived and loved deeply. Though she is gone, her spirit remains woven into the lives she touched. Those who knew her will carry her spark forward, grateful for every moment they shared with her.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Greg Hutchinson; father, Jerry Wayne Godeaux; brothers, Ronnie Godeaux and Jeff Godeaux and wife, Kim; sisters, Mitsy Godeaux, Becky Broyles and husband, Austin, and Krissy Godeaux and husband, Andy Howard; nieces and nephews, Brittany, Jerrica, Josh, Hannah, Hailee, Jordan, Remington, and Garrett; great-nieces and nephews, Carlos, Hadleigh, Kynzleigh, Anson, Millie, Charlie, Zion, Selah, Nash, Reese, and Rawling; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Suzanne in death is her mother, Gwendolyn Louise Godeaux.
