Stanley "Buddy" Leroy Schafer Jr.

Stanley “Buddy” Leroy Schafer Jr., 51, passed away in Galveston, Texas on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Buddy was born January 3, 1969 in Galveston, Texas to Stanley Leroy Schafer Sr. and Naomi Ruth Seigrist. A rumbunctious and adventuring boy, Buddy was always willing to take a dare and has the scars to prove it. Protective of his family and a devoted man, Buddy could always be depended on to defend any of his loved ones. Buddy loved to joke and tease, constantly willing to push limits and loving to laugh. A family man at his core, Buddy was a father, loving brother, and so much more to those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his father Stanley Leroy Schafer Sr; his sisters, Evelyn Lavern Gilland, and Dianna Ruth Layfield; his sons, Joshua Ugene Schafer, and Timothy Leroy Schafer; and his daughter, Krystal Nicole Schafer.

Stanley is preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Ruth Schafer.

To honor Stanley “Buddy” Leroy Schafer Jr.’s life, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor, Texas.

In lieu of plants and flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made towards the final expenses for Buddy.
