Shirley Lynn (Moreau) Betar

Shirley Lynn Betar, 77, of Lumberton, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026. She was born on July 5, 1949, in Port Arthur, TX to Victor and Emma Cenceros Moreau.

Left to honor her memory is her sister, Catherine Landry and husband, C.J.; step-son, Michael Betar and wife, Erin; nephews, Arlan Eskine Jr. and wife, Donnette, Nathan Landry and Stephen Landry; nieces, Janie Eskine and Carol’Ann Tampke and husband, Brandon; step-grandchildren, Bradley Betar and Pamela Eide; step-great-grandchild, Kamerin Kealy Eide; all her beloved cats throughout the years, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and loved ones.

Preceding Shirley in death is her husband, Bruce Gerald Betar; her parents; step-daughter, Patricia Petty; and step-grandson, Brandon Petty.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S Main St. Lumberton, TX 77657.
