Shelia McCormick Obituary

Cecilia “Shelia” Marie McCormick, age 69, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026. She was born on February 11, 1956, in Beaumont, TX.

A woman whose kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone she met, she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles Lynn, on October 13, 1984. Their love story was one of true companionship—rooted in friendship, strengthened by time, and filled with moments of joy. Together, they shared a love for dancing, often finding happiness in the simple rhythm of music and each other’s company. Shelia found joy in the everyday pleasures of life. She loved playing Bingo, listening to Elvis, and watching Hallmark movies no matter the season. But above all, she treasured her role as “Memaw.” Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she embraced every moment spent with them. Her family will forever remember her loving reminders whenever they left her home: “Call me when you get there.” It was her way of saying she cared. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Charles Lynn McCormick Sr.; son, Charles Lynn McCormick and wife, Ginny; daughters, Rachel Dianne Beaumont and Donna Jean Delacerda and husband, Christopher; brothers, Mickey Sanders and wife, Raquel, Allen Sanders and wife, Elizabeth, and Calvin “Bubba” Guidroz Jr. and wife, Nelda; sister, Gail Cisneros and husband, David; 12 beloved grandchildren, George Moreno and wife, Amanda, Daniel Moreno and fiancée, Maggie, Victoria Wilkinson, Rob Black and wife, Rae, Joshua Delacerda and fiancée, Samantha, Rachel Sanders and fiancé, Trent, Victoria Santell and husband, Nick, Elizabeth Kortney and husband, Toby, Kristi Delacerda, Azelyn McCormick, Keyden McCormick, Tiffany Koons and husband, Jacob, and Coleman Wilkinson and wife, Shandy; 27 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.
