Shelby Jean Jones, age 80, of Lumberton, TX passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023. She was born in Evergreen, Alabama, on July 19, 1942, to Aubrey and Sarah Smith Foley.
Left to honor her memory are her sons, David Melvin and wife, Tammy, of Lumberton, TX, and Robert Melvin and wife, Marla, of Moreno Valley, CA; brothers, John Walter Foley and wife, Rene’, and Aubrey Foley Jr.; sister, Judy Jeffcoat; grandchildren, Curtis Melvin and wife, Maria, Steven Melvin and wife, Brittany, Rachelle Melvin, and Ethan Melvin; great-grandchildren, Kolt Hendrix, Kynlee Hendrix, Kylie Hendrix, Kreed Melvin, and Kort Melvin; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Jones; her parents; brother, James Foley; and sisters, Helen Thomas, and Audrey Baggett.
