Sharon Ruth Goldsmith

Sharon Ruth Goldsmith, age 68, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023. She was born in Pasadena, TX, on March 13, 1955, to Woody O’dell Heidleberg, Sr. and Ann Stubbs Heidleberg.  

Sharon loved deeply. She truly cared about those around her and was always compassionate toward others. She loved the Lord and was a devout Christian always doing her best to serve Him. Through her caring nature she found an affinity for nursing, in which she celebrated a long fulfilling career helping others. Sharon was a wonderful mother to her own children as well as anyone else who was in need of her insightful wisdom or her ever-ready shoulder to cry on. Sharon brought a lot of joy to others her entire life, and the immense love she held for others will always be felt by those who knew it.

Left to honor her memory is her son, Larry Clubb, of Lumberton, TX; daughters, Lacey Linney and husband, David, of Lumberton, TX, and  Becky Contos and husband, Mike, of Sparks, NV; brothers, Woody O’dell Heidelberg Jr. and wife, Vicki, of Lumberton, TX, and Mark Mikeska, of Houston, TX; sisters, Anne Pratt of Beaumont, TX, and Lynda Hensley of Ashville, NC; grandchildren, Easton O’dell Linney, of Lumberton, TX, and Emma Contos, of Sparks, NV; cats, Annie Bananie, and Sinko; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jason O’dell Johnson; and brother, Michael Heidleberg.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. t0 6:00 p.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Sharon’s life-honoring memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m., with Pastor Cody Morgan officiating.
