Samantha "Sam" Hale, age 35, of Austin, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. She was born in Port Arthur on June 26, 1987, to Kendall Hale and Joann Johnson.
The beauty within her shined brightly, in her smile, from her heart. Sam was thoughtful, caring, and kind, beautiful on the inside and out. The love within her was infectious, strengthening and developing the bonds and relationships that she shared with family and friends. Those same family and friends ended every conversation with Sam with one word, “Love”, not goodbye or farewell, but “Love”. She was not just a “Foodie”, but more aptly a “Food Adventurist”, sharing recipes with those dear to her. Sam will be missed, and her affectionate character and kindheartedness will be forever cherished by her loved ones.
Left to cherish her memory is her father, Ken Hale and long-time partner, Stacy; mother, Joann Johnson; grandmother, Donna Houseman; brother, Zachary Bocker and wife, Hali; sister, Courtney Lopez, and husband, Anthony; uncles, James Hale and wife, Debbie, and Greg Hale and wife, Gina; cousins, Sarah McCall, Melissa Hale, Wesley Hale, and Bailey Hale; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.
