Russell "Zach" Zachary Winsted

Russell "Zach" Winsted, 34, passed away at his home in Lumberton on Thursday, October 22, 2020. Born in Middleton, OH on September 4, 1986 to Russell Clyde Winsted and Lisa Michelle Manning McCloskey raised in a family of five children. Zach was blessed to have such a large and loving family made up of so many different influences that truly helps shape the man he would become. After graduation, Zach joined and proudly served our Country as part of US Marine Corps. Upon his return to civilian life, Zach found Texas was a place that truly suited him; he was never surer of that then when he met his future wife, Katie Miranda Williams Winsted. After five years of devoted partnership, Katie and Zach married July of 2020. The family Zach found becoming his daily world was something he cherished more than anything in the world; Zach loved being a father to his three children and valued that title above all others. Zach loved his family dearly and his friends were just an extension of that family for him. When not enjoying his massive movie collection or volunteering at his church home, Triumph Church, Zach loved playing games with his friends and family. An animal lover at heart, if you knew Zach you know his family absolutely included his puppy princess Cami too. A dedicated worker and provider, Zach was proud of his career as a welding assistant and was looking forward to advancing his skill set in a field he enjoyed. Be it family, friend, or co-worker- no one who met Zach was not impacted by his kind nature and loving heart. Zach will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Katie Winsted of Lumberton, TX; his children, Libby Adams, Nykolaus Adams, and Xavier Adams all of Lumberton, TX; his parents Ronnie McCloskey and Lisa McCloskey of New Paris, OH; his siblings, Josh McCloskey, Jake McCloskey, Sophie McCloskey and Emma McCloskey all of New Paris, OH; his mother and father-in-law, Lynette Williams and John Williams of Lumberton, TX; his brothers-in-law, Joshua Williams and John Williams Jr. both of Winnsboro, LA; his grandparents, Bobby Manning and Carolyn Apking; and numerous aunts, uncles, extended family members, friends, and co-workers.

Preceding Zach in death is his father, Russell Clyde Winsted; his grandparents, Patricia Manning, Robert E. Winsted, Dale Grushon, and Arthur “Buck” Apking.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Triumph Church, 10255 Easttex Fwy, Beaumont, TX 77708 from 6:00-8:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting contributions toward the final expenses.
