Robert Eugene Walker

Robert Eugene Walker, 75 of Lumberton, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024.   He was born on October 3, 1948 to his parents Art and Agnes Walker in Bethesda, Maryland. 

Robert enjoyed life and being outdoors, which led him to Boy Scouts of America.  He was a camp assistant for a few years at Philmont, a high adventure Scout Camp.   Robert also was an Eagle Scout, Scout Master, and took many a young man camping including his sons. 

Robert was introduced to computers at an early age and made a career in this industry.  Being one of the first “IT” guys in his field.  Robert had a youthful spirit and a quick wit about him and was even playing video games at his age. 

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Brett Allen Walker and David Matthew Walker and wife Emily, and His extended family and friends.

Robert Walker was preceded by his loving wife Mary, and both of his parents, Arthur and Agnes (Jones) Walker.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11 am in the Sandy Creek Park in Jasper, TX.   site location is 79, SCRE Steinhagen Lake.  Entrance code: 4671
