Robert James Prejeant

With deep sorrow the family of Robert James Prejeant announces his passing on April 7, 2026, in Lumberton, Tx. Robert was a voracious reader that chose law as his profession. He was a distinguished “Law Review” recipient, graduating among the top of his class from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Upon graduation, Dad clerked for Judge Minos Miller in Lake Charles, La; followed by a 39 year career as a trial attorney in Houma, La. Dad was an avid outdoorsman that loved to fish and spend time at the camp. Every year he eagerly awaited fall so he could cheer for his LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints.

Robert and the mother of his children, Marcy Spangle, were the proud parents of four children: Jennifer (Dwayne), Julie, Robert Jr “Jay” (Nikki) and John (Kelly). Additionally, Robert had two bonus children, Brian and Leslie Pittman with spouse Judy R. Prejeant that preceded him in passing. Robert had six granddaughters and one soon-to-be grandson.

He was proceeded in death by his spouse, Judy R. Prejeant, parents Smith “Jessie” and Lillian Caillouet Prejeant, and one brother Nolan J. Prejeant. Services will be private with internment at Our Mother of Sorrow in Reno, Nevada.

There will be a private service held by the family. Robert will be laid to rest at Our Mother of Sorrows in Reno, NV.
