Robert Winston Griffith, age 58, of Silsbee, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. He was born in Omaha, NE, on January 23, 1966, to David Delos Griffith and Carolyn Sue Gardner.
A man of many talents and interests, passed away leaving behind a legacy of kindness, ingenuity, and love. Robert was a collector and a tinkerer, always finding joy in working on cars and fixing things. His hands were rarely idle, and his heart was always full. An avid gamer, Robert enjoyed the camaraderie and challenge of board games and card games. His love for food was just as diverse, with a particular fondness for junk foods, McDonald's, and Taco Bell. Despite his love for indulgent treats, he was at heart a meat and potatoes kind of guy. His musical tastes were as eclectic as his hobbies, spanning from the heavy riffs of Metallica to the orchestral beauty of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, with stops along the way for ELO and Queen. Music was a constant companion in his life, providing the soundtrack to his many adventures. While living in Arizona, Robert met the love of his life, Grace, with whom he spent 14 wonderful years. Grace had prayed for a Christian, a good man, and someone special to share her life with—and in Robert, she found all of that and more. Their love was profound, and they spoke on the phone four times a day, cherishing every moment they could share. Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His creativity, his love for life's simple pleasures, and his unwavering love for his family will be remembered always. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of those you touched.
Left to honor his memory is his wife, Grace Reyes-Griffith; mother, Carolyn Gardner; sister, Diane Taylor and husband, Kenneth; nieces, Amanda Riskovich, Jennifer Schreiber, Kristen Simpson, Kelsy Dupree, and Aurora Schreiber; nephew, Ian Woodard; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.
Preceding Robert in death is his father.
