Ricky Lynn Cleveland

Ricky Lynn Cleveland, 65, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on October 6, 1955 to Ollie B. and Lola Evelyn Cleveland in Caldwell, Ohio.

Ricky Cleveland was a man with unrivaled dedication, despite any odds against him, he would always come out on top. He was deeply devoted to his friends and family and would always be there for anybody when they needed him. The character of Ricky’s personality was nothing short of great, and he had the talent to match it. He was extremely gifted in anything he put his mind to, and his welding skills were a source of envy for many. He built a successful career of 41 years at Fabricon International, due to his immeasurable hard work and ingenuity. In his free time, he could often be found fishing, or playing with his grandkids and enjoying good food at family gatherings. He loved his church, Woodcrest United Methodist, and was a member of their choir for many years.

Ricky provided a wonderful life for his wife and children, even beyond the measures of prosperity, he was a wise mentor, and faithful friend. He was blessed to have found the love of his life at a young age, and married his wife of 49 years, Karen, when they were only 15 and 16 years old. There is no doubt that the legacy Ricky left behind will be remembered for generations, and he will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his beautiful wife, Karen Cleveland; his sons, Christopher Cleveland, Justin Cleveland and wife Erin; his siblings, Robert Cleveland, Claudette Drake, and Shirley Weyrick; his grandchildren, Blake Cleveland and Cody Cleveland; as well as numerous friends, extended family members and work family.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie B. and Lola Cleveland; and his siblings, Joey B. Cleveland and Jackie B. Anders.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodcrest United Methodist Church, 1684 US-96 Lumberton, TX 77657. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 10:00AM at Hooks Cemetery, Kountze, TX 77625.

In consideration of the health and safety of the family and friends, all social distancing practices and facial covering recommendations will be observed for all services. Verbal condolences are welcome but the family asks that physical condolences, such as hugs, not be given.
