Richard Lee Flores, 61, passed peacefully on February 17, 2020. He was born on September 6, 1958 to Lee Flores and Barbara Ann Parham in Beaumont, TX.
Richard was an incredible man of admirable character. He was gentle, kind, and always good to others. He would give you the shirt off his back and his last dime if you were in need. He was full of light, life, and loved a good laugh. Richard was the perfect example of a family man. He was a wonderful father, adored “Papaw,” and loving husband, who could always be counted on to get the door for his wife. He was a hard worker and thrived in construction labor. When he was home, he was likely working in the yard. He spent a great deal of time outdoors, as was evident by his permanent suntan. He loved to fish, enjoyed the beach and liked to “putter.” Richard was a good guy, through and through. The laughter, joy, and strength he brought into so many lives will always be lovingly remembered and missed.
Left to cherish his memory is Jeannene Ball; mother, Barbara Parham; daughters, Christina Flores and husband Claude Gaspard, Arika Flores and significant other Frank Morrell; sisters, Tina Harthcock and husband Bryan; nephews, Dylan Harthcock, Lucas Harthcock, Greg Flores; nieces, Audrey Flores, Beverly Flores, Courtney Flores; and granchild, Payton Gaspard.
Preceding Richard in death is his father, Lee Flores and brother Ronald Flores.
To honor Richard's life, there will be a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S. Main, Lumberton TX. 77657.
