Rebecca "Becky" Baker Obituary

Rebecca “Becky” Lea Baker, 66, left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Becky passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer.

Born November 17, 1954 in Newton Texas to Clarence and Evala Lowe, Becky started her family in Lumberton and eventually moved to Kountze TX, where she resided until her death.

Although Becky was a woman of few words, she was a kind and fun-loving person with a huge heart. When it came to her family or loved ones Becky worked hard to show them how much she cared. She was most proud of being a mother and grandmother, that was the most important and rewarding job she could have asked for.  Becky never turned her back on anyone in need. She enjoyed having gatherings with family and friends.  When she took time away for herself, she loved Bingo and the casinos.  Becky included her children’s friends as her own and treated them like family. She would love them all “to the moon and back.”

Becky is preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Evala Lowe, spouses: Daniel Ling and Amith” Bull” Baker, Brothers: Dan, Gene, Johnny, Clyde and W.H Lowe, and Sisters: Gloria Baker and Melissa Lowe.

Becky is survived by her loving partner, James “Bobby” Tejada, her son, Danny and Sherry Lowe of Anchorge, AK, her daughters including Angela Ling and Richard Graves of Lumberton, Amanda and John Murphy of Lumberton, Alisha Lowe of Kountze and Andrea Ling of Kountze. Her sisters including: Dianne Lowe, Sallie Liedecker, Pete Comeaux and Brenda Lowe. 16 grandchildren including:  Jered, D.J., Rebecca and Jurnee Lowe, Aspen, Ocean and Addison Ling, Alex Harvill, Dylan Rodgers, Kathrena Burge, Cyler Davis, Ariana Murphy, Heaven and Jaden Swartout, Kaylea Dixon and Patience Boykin.  5 Great grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Lumberton Family Funeral Home (766 S. Main St., Lumberton Family Funeral Home) on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
