Raymond Joines Obituary

Mr. Raymond Guy Joines passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020.

Raymond was born in Beaumont, TX to Guy Joines and Theresa "Koch" Joines on January 7, 1927. He was married to the love of his life, Majorie Louise "Wood" Joines for 61 years before she passed away in 2014. Raymond was a hard-working veteran who served in the US Navy, and owned Allied Fence Co. for over 62 years. He loved his animals, the great outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter, and also was a "gold glove boxer" in his younger Navy days. Raymond's favorite sporting team was the Houston Rockets and he never missed a game if he could help it. Known as the life of the party, he brought joy to everyone around him, was an awesome dad and "Paw-Paw" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Randy Reeves of Dallas, TX, Frankie Joines and wife Terry of Kountze, TX; daughters, Joni Silcox of Silsbee, TX, Toni Parker of Lumberton, TX; brother Carson Joines of Carthage, TX; sisters, Viola Sparks of Port Arthur, TX, Birdie Davenport of Alvin, TX; grandchildren, Michael, Amber, Cody, Natasha, Hope, William; 15 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family members and life long friends.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Theresa "Koch" Joines; wife, Marjorie Louise "Wood" Joines; son-in-laws, Gil Silcox and Keith Parker; brother, Ervin Joines; and grandson Rusty Davis.
