Rafael Enrique Briceño

Rafael Enrique Briceño, 86, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021. Rafael was born and raised in Chile. During his time in Chile, Rafael was blessed to find and marry the love of his life, his wife of 60 years Beatrice Briceño. Beatrice and Rafael had one daughter, Ruth Briceno Carrell, and in 1968 the family moved to the United States. Rafael was a man of many careers after moving to his home in Texas and even served in the Texas National Guard, but none of those careers lessened his commitment to his God, wife, and family. A dedicated provided and faithful member of his church home of more than 40 years, First Assembly of God Kirbyville, Rafael was a shining example of a family man and leader. A wonderful dad and great husband, Rafael put the needs and wants of others above his own so often it was second nature to him. Rafael and his compassionate care for those he loved and knew will be deeply missed and not soon forgotten.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Ruth Carrell and husband Paul of Beaumont; his siblings, Maria Briceño, Eliana Briceño, Mario Briceño; and his grandchildren, Craig Stringer of Beaumont, Andrew Carrell and wife Laura of Kissimmee, FL and Lynda Carrell of Kissimmee, FL.

Rafael was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Gricelda Briceño; and his beautiful wife, Beatrice Briceño.

The family will be having a private memorial to honor his life.
