Phyllis Jean Bayless

Phyllis Jean Bayless, 66, of Lumberton, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.  Phyllis Jean Greenwood was born in Ticonderoga, NY on October 30, 1956 to parents James Greenwood and Evelyn Way Greenwood.

Phyllis Jean was married to Robert Michael Bayless and to this union they had two sons.  Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed her pets, multiple cats and birds.  She was also very into arts and crafts.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael Greenwood and wife Shawnte, and Frank O’Connell and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Taylor Greenwood, Trace Greenwood, and Oliva O’Connell; sister, Eva Greenwood; and numerous extended family.

Phyllis was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her loving husband Robert; and her siblings.

Cremation has been entrusted to Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
