Perry Frank Sligar
1956-2019
Perry Frank Sligar was born December 19, 1956 to Raymond Carroll Sligar and Frankie (Turpen) Sligar in Pampa, TX. He passed from this life on December 30, 2019.
Perry was an incredible man who was full of character and personality. He had exceptional qualities that made him flourish in life. He was passionate and very hard working. His work ethic and strong character made being a self-employed restaurant owner of Dippity’s the perfect job for him. On top of that, he had a passion for cooking and was great in the kitchen! Perry was passionate about whatever he did in life. If he set out to do something, he would do it well! Perry’s other enjoyments included photography, old cars, and fishing with family and friends. Sports were something that he enjoyed lifelong. As a young man he loved to play them, and as he got older, he loved to watch them. He had a well rounded and likeable personality. He was quiet until he chose to be heard, and though he was reserved, he was attentive to those around him. Perry was fun and could always be counted on for a laugh. He could sometimes be staunch, but never for long as his loving heart usually took over. He was a dedicated husband, a doting father, a supportive brother and a wonderful friend. Perry will be missed, but his legacy will continue in the hearts of all those who were privileged to know and love him.
Left to treasure Perry’s memory is his loving wife of 27 years, Leslie Bernadette (Williams) Sligar; daughter, Leah Sligar of Lumberton, TX; sisters, Jona Sligar of Hemphill, TX, Benita Bonner of Georgetown, TX; brother Doug Sligar of Leander, TX; and grandchildren, Cru and Cayson Spittler.
Mr. Sligar's honoring of life service will be officiated by Rev. Ray McNames at 2:00 PM on January 4, 2020 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S. Main, Lumberton, TX 77657.
