Paula Luther Cascio

Paula Irene Luther Cascio, 79, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, TX. Paula was born on October 17, 1946, the second child born to Bernice and Doyle Luther.

A graduate of French High School, she also attended Lamar University. A creative person, she enjoyed sewing clothes for herself and others and crafting of all kinds. She worked as a chairside Dental Assistant for over 40 years and retired from U.T.M.B Correctional Managed Care. After marrying Victor Cascio Sr. in 1970, they began a life together that was a journey in the sense that they lived in many different places over the years. They began their biggest adventure in 1974 with the birth of their son, Joey, whom they loved and cherished until his untimely death in 2008. They were involved in PTA, Scouts, and all things baseball with Joey. The couple loved to travel in their various travel trailers and had many wonderful trips together before Victor passed away in 2018.

Paula is preceded in death by an infant son, Leon William; son, Victor Joseph Jr. “Joey”; and her husband of 48 years, Victor Cascio Sr.

She is survived by her sister, Stacey Ramer and her husband Robert; nieces, Angie Forgas Presswood and husband, Daniel, Sarah Ramer Wells and husband, Cody, and Heather Luther Roy and family; nephews, Jeff Ramer, Joe Forgas, Justin Luther and wife, Katie; great-niece, Sophia Wells; great-nephew, Cole Luther; godchildren, Josh and Natalie Haltom; and her dear friend, Betty.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, 766 S Main St. Lumberton, TX 77657. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine St. Beaumont, TX 77703.
