Paul Joseph Arroyo, age 68, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. He was born on May 7, 1956, in Houston, TX, to Pedro Juan Sr. and Emma Elizabeth Krueger Arroyo.
A great man whose positivity and caring nature touched all who knew him, Paul was kind and lovingly devoted to his family, balancing his warmth with stern and purposeful guidance when needed. Paul was wise and patient, constantly imparting his wisdom to his children and grandchildren. As a devoted "PawPaw," he played a crucial role in raising his grandsons, always offering advice that became cherished words to live by, whether they were listening at the moment or not. Growing up in Houston, he spent his youth street racing and later developed a passion for NASCAR, particularly following Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. A dedicated Ford enthusiast, he worked as a mechanic at a Ford dealership for a time. His knack for growing things showcased his obvious green thumb, and he took pride in his self-sufficiency. Paul was the best listener anyone could ask for, always ready to lend an ear and let you pour your heart out. His love and pride for his family were evident in all he did. After 43 years of marriage to the love of his life, Cynthia, he now joins her on the other side. Paul Arroyo's legacy of kindness, wisdom, and dedication will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the lessons he imparted will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Left to honor his memory are his grandsons, Dustin Gallier, Justin Gallier, and Zachary Gallier and wife, Nicole; sister, Ana Maria Arroyo; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and loved ones.
Preceding Paul in death are his beloved wife, Cynthia Marie Arroyo; his parents; daughter, Amber Harvey; brother, Pedro Juan Arroyo Jr; and sister, Michelle Coffee.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, December 28, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home, Lumberton, TX 77657. Paul’s life honoring funeral service will follow, beginning at 2:00 p.m., also at funeral home, with Rev. Andrew Moore officiating.
