Patricia "Pat" (Bradley) Carlson

Patricia "Pat" (Bradley) Carlson, 84, of Vidor, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Pat was born in Liverpool, England on August 1, 1937, to Robert and Margaret Bradley.

Pat was well-known and well-loved by so many over the course of her life. Kindness and compassion for others, especially her beloved rescues, was truly a hallmark of her life. Pat was blessed with three children over the course of her life and was an amazing mother and “Nanny” to her family. Her love to make the best of the world around her could be seen in her everyday approach to life; just ask the innumerable people and animals that benefited from her open heart and willingness to always share what she had with those that needed it.

While some may slow down as the years start to show their wear, Pat was the kind of unconventional, dependable, and confident woman who never met a project she wasn’t capable of tackling and loved to be doing something all the time. A restaurant owner for many years, Pat later went on to work with Shangri-La in Orange and at Wal-Mart while also challenging herself to flip homes in her spare time. A true firecracker, Pat leaves a hole in the hearts of those who loved her best and her legacy of kindness, love, and family will not soon be forgotten.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Guy Bradley Hull and wife Elizabeth of Lexington, NC, Stacey Ann Hull LaRose and husband Kevin of Orange, TX, and Robert Carlson and wife Brianna of Caribou, Maine; her sister, Margaret Campbell of Schulenburg; her grandchildren: Jordan Hull, Ashley Barfield and husband Christopher, Cody LaRose and wife Bailey, Gabriel Carlson, William Carlson, Lukas Carlson, and Nikolas Carlson; her great-grandchildren: Braelyn Baugh, Amaris Barfield, Rustin Barfield, Beau Barfield, Hazely LaRose, Cohen LaRose, and Wrenley LaRose; as well as numerous friends, loved ones, and beloved animals through the years.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Gordon Leonard Hull; and her second husband, Lennart William Carlson.

To honor Pat’s life and legacy, a time of memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Memorial Baptist Church of West Orange (104 Broad St., West Orange, TX 77630). A celebration of life will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at McDonald Memorial Baptist Church of West Orange.
