Norma Ramsey Davis

Norma Ramsey Davis, age 89, of Jasper, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026. She was born on September 3, 1936, in Locksburg, AR.

She lived a life defined by quiet strength, genuine kindness, and a spirit that edified everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was effortlessly funny; she never sought attention, was never showy, but always able to brighten a room. Humility, generosity, and selflessness were simply who she was. From the moment Aubrey first laid eyes on her, he said she was “the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen,” and he meant it for the rest of his life. Their marriage was a partnership built on deep respect and affection, rooted in love and purpose. They welcomed with open arms, always accommodating, always gracious. Together, they created a home where people felt cared for. Norma was self-reliant, independent, and talented. Whether she was fixing, crafting, building, or creating, she approached every task with determination that she could figure out anything she set her mind to. And she usually did. Unlike Aubrey, Norma was a football fan. She cheered first for her beloved Oilers and later for the Texans. Her faith was the foundation of her life. A devoted Christian, Norma committed herself fully to the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Her belief was lived and steady. Of all her roles, “Nana” was one she cherished most. She was proud of her grandchildren and loved them with a tenderness that left an imprint they will carry forever. Though Norma has left this world, and while her absence is felt deeply, there is comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved Aubrey. She will be dearly missed, but her life will shine on in the countless ways she made the world gentler and better simply by being in it.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Stephen Davis and Alicia Tykol; grandchildren, Cameron Wood and husband, Ryan, Travis Tykol and wife, Abby, and Nathan Tykol and wife, Brooke; great-grandchildren, Liliana, Cadence, Braedon, Alianna, Jaxon, Jolee, Wacey, and Banks; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Norma in death are her parents, Earl and Ruth Powers Ramsey; husband, Aubrey Davis; brothers, Kent Ramsey, Gordon Ramsey, and Wayne Ramsey; and sisters, Chloe New, Earlene Kiser, Roma Anne Ramsey, and Kay Ramsey Greathouse Clegborn.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, February 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1803 19th St, Huntsville, TX 77340. Norma’s life honoring service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1803 19th St, Huntsville, TX 77340. She will be laid to rest following at Joyze Cemetery.
