Mollie Huff Obituary

Mollie Sue Huff, age 56, of Vidor, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025. She was born on February 9, 1969, in Beaumont, TX to Donald Wilkerson and Patricia Fincher.

Oh honey, let me tell you”, as only she would declare, with a warm smile and a story on her lips. Mollie lived a life shaped by stories; ones she read, ones she heard, and countless others she creatively made up on the spot. The written word was her refuge. She read a book a day, filling her life with untold thousands of stories that shaped her imagination and spirit. Mollie was loving and personable, the kind of person whose smile could brighten a room before she ever spoke. To every stranger, she was kind: decent, affable, and effortlessly warm. This gentle nature followed her into every workplace she entered, where she was well liked by friends and coworkers. Her greatest devotion, however, was to her family. She raised five children, cooking three meals a day for them and teaching them independence and resilience. Becoming a grandmother brought her immense joy. She was endlessly fascinated by her grandchildren and wore the name “Granny” with pride and delight. Mollie was gifted in countless ways, crafty, talented, and able to cook anything at all. Her creativity extended to her personal style as well. She loved to dress with intention, matching her purses to her outfits, her nails, and every thoughtful detail that expressed her vibrant personality. She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who cherished her, and a legacy of kindness, imagination, and a life well lived. Mollie’s story will continue in the hearts of all who knew her, in the memories she shaped, and in the love she gave so freely.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Russell Huff and wife, Tonya and John Randy Huff; daughters, Shelbie Cole and husband, Neil and Kelsey Braneff and husband, Ira II; brothers, Lee Wayne Wilkerson and Johnny Wilkerson and wife, Janice; grandchildren, Jackson, Addie, Penelope, Waylon, Winston, Kandis, and Dustin; her loved cat, Sadie; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Mollie in death is her son, Ronald Gene Huff.
