Mitch Edward Upshaw, 55, of Silsbee passed away on December 27, 2020.
Mitch was born one of three children to his parents William Edward Upshaw and Wanda Grisham Upshaw in Kountze, Texas on October 3, 1965. Spending all of his life in Southeast Texas, Mitch was a selfless man and a hard worker. Outgoing and kind, Mitch didn’t meet strangers, just new friends, and if you ever ate at the Waffle House in Lumberton you are probably one of the many friends. Mitch had a contagious laugh that would roll on and just bring joy to any space. He loved to use his rare spare time in two main pursuits- collecting and using his beloved guns and knives, mostly while hunting, and spoiling his nieces and nephews every time he heard “Uncle Mitch” come out of one of those happy faces. Family was really important to Mitch, a great brother and even better uncle, he loved family gatherings and relished his time spent with loved ones. Mitch will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Darrell Upshaw and wife Ronda, and Wendy Sabol; and of course his beloved nieces and nephews, Kade Upshaw, Keaton Upshaw, Konner Upshaw, Harleigh Lemmons, and Ava Lemmons.
Mitch is preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Wanda Upshaw.
A memorial service will be on Friday, January 8, 2021 beginning at 6:00PM at Central Baptist Church, 120 Private Rd 325 Evadale, TX 77615.
