Millicent Suzanne Hickman, affectionately known as "Millie," age 68, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Born on July 28, 1956, in Portsmouth, VA, to Reuben Steve Arrambide and Jeannette Gertrude Carroll, Millie was a beacon of strength and independence.
Millie devoted many years to teaching, touching the lives of her students with her dedication and passion. Above all, she was a devoted mother and caregiver to her son, Jeremy, embodying love and resilience in every aspect of her life. She shared a deep and enduring love with her husband, Jeff; their marriage was marked by a passionate bond, occasional head-butting, and immense love. Millie found joy and solace at the beach, and was a huge LSU fan. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Millicent's life honoring memorial service will be Saturday, September 7, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
