Michael Edward Alverson, age 69, of Vidor, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024. He was born in Toledo, OH, on March 10, 1955, to Robert Warren Alverson Sr. and Juanita Bryant Alverson.
Michael lived a life filled with love, generosity, and a deep connection to family and friends. An animal lover at heart, his loyal dog, Tramp, was his constant companion, and Michael would never venture where Tramp couldn't join. His expertise in electrical, carpentry, and woodworking was exceptional. His skill in building furniture reflected his knowledge and unwavering confidence. He was a trusted adviser, always ready to lend a hand, especially to his children, and his kindness and wisdom made him a friend to anyone he met. He had a passion for fishing, often accompanied by his beloved granddaughter, McKenzie, who proudly served as his first mate. Known affectionately as "Pawpaw Michael" by his grandchildren, he leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Left to honor his memory is his son, Aaron Alverson and wife, Amber, of Santa Fe, TX; daughter, Lindsay Campbell and husband, Cody, of Vidor, TX; brother, Chris Alverson and wife, Jan, of Angleton, TX; sister, Leigh Ann Gallier and partner in life, Buster Lusich, of Vidor, TX; grandchildren, McKenzie McKinley and husband, Cain, Corban Campbell, Landry Campbell, Carter Durand, Kynlee Durand, Ella Alverson and Ford Alverson; 1 great-grandchild on the way, Cooper; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.
