Maxine Williams

Maxine Harris Williams, age 83, of Buna, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023. She was born in Buna, TX, on February 5, 1940, to Friday Fountain and Gladys Wilkerson Harris.

Left to honor her memory is her beloved husband, Carl J. Williams; sons, Carl D. Williams of Evadale, TX, Michael Lynn Williams of Evadale, TX, and Donnie Earl Williams of Evadale, TX; sisters, Shirley Luman, Dorothy  Lewis, and Jackie Peters; grandchildren, Christy Hughley and husband, Chris, Mandi Hatcher and husband, Aaron, Courtney Parker, Ashton Okun and husband, Damien, Tori Dillard and husband, Terry, and Daniel Williams; great-grandchildren, Michael D. Williams, Kyler Dillard, Jaden Williams, Kinsey Dillard, Reaghan Okun, Slade Okun, Keithan Dillard, Christopher Hughley, Harper Okun, Avery Parker, and Brayden Parker; as well as a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, JoNell Harris, Ruby McMillian and husband, Coy; brother, Larry Harris; and brother-in-law, Thomas Lewis.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 4, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church Evadale. Maxine’s life honoring funeral service will be Wednesday, July 5, 2023, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church Evadale, with Pastor Doyle Butcher officiating. Interment will follow at Morse Cemetery.
