Mary Loye McAlister was called home by our Lord on November 14, 2023, in Beaumont, TX.
Graveside services for Mrs. McAlister, age 88, formerly of Ore City, will be at 12:00 p.m. on November 20th, 2023, at Waldrop Cemetery in Fairplay, TX.
Mrs. McAlister was born December 28, 1934, in Greggton, TX, to Robert Cooke and Edna Patterson. She was a Sunday school teacher and loving mother and care giver. Loved family, camping, hunting, skiing, horseback riding and writing in her diary, poems and never missed sending birthday cards to her family. She loved watching football with her great grandchildren and Josh rooting for the Dallas Cowboys against their teams.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Ed McAlister; her parents, Edna Patterson and husband, Frank, and Robert Cooke; and her brother, Don Patterson.
Mary Loye is survived by three daughters, Gail McAlister, Kay Richardson and husband Oliver and Dee Pepper; four grandchildren, Misty Howard and husband Josh, Bubba Richardson and fiancé Sarah Smith, Michael Pepper, and Clint Pepper; five great-grandchildren, Ethen Richardson, Payton Richardson, Landen Howard, Trey Richardson and Hanna Berger and husband Brett; three sisters, Helen Bivin, Linda Patterson and Dian Patterson; and two nephews, Bill Bivin wife Amy, and Stephen Stanley wife, Melissa.
