Mary Feddes Jackson, age 85, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023. She was born in Colmesneil, TX, on June 27, 1938, to Simon Craig Marshall and Mary Goode.
Feddes always loved having her family together and cherished those times more than anything. After high school, she earned her certificate in business and went to work for the credit bureau for a few years before settling into her calling as a home maker and loving mother. On March 6, 1959, Feddes married the love of her life Robert, and together they raised three children and spent 51 wonderful years together until his passing. She loved her church and always found joy in singing the gospel and was strong in her faith, living her life for God. There was never a time that Feddes wanted an empty house, she loved spending time with all her family and friends, and cooking delicious meals for them all, especially during the holidays. Feddes was a mentor, a caregiver, a friend, a mother, and above all she was loved.
Left to honor her memory is her son, James Anthony Jackson and wife Wendi, of Lumberton, TX; daughters, Roberta Goss of Lumberton, TX, Suzanne Kay Reed and husband Terry of Alvin, TX; brother, Lewis Marshall and wife Betty; sister, Gladys Hartsfield; sister in law, Elva King and husband Marris; sister-in-law, Lynette Marshall Faircloth; grandchildren, Taylor Smith and husband Dylan, Abbie Beard, Paige Desmuke and husband Samuel, and Bethany Reed; great grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Roy Beard IV, Sawyer Beard, Emersyn Beard, Avery Desmuke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Anthony Jackson; Brother, James Albert Marshall, and brother-in-law Frank Hartsfield.
A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday July 12, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held following the visitation on Wednesday July 12, 2023, at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Bethany Cemetery in Colmesneil TX, following the funeral service.
