Mary Frances (Vance) Ford

Mrs. Mary Frances (Vance) Ford, 76, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.

Mary was born in Beaumont, TX on February 23, 1944 to Jesse and Mary Vance. While growing up with her brother and sisters, Mary made many memories and enjoyed a wonderful childhood. She was married to the love of her life, Jerome Ford for 15 years before she passed, and they never took a moment of love or laughter for granted. Mary enjoyed taking care of her family and friends either with her compassionate soul, great sense of humor, or by cooking, and they sure loved to eat whatever she cooked. She loved to garden, go to the casino and to spend time with Jerome. To her family, she was the best sister, wife, and mother, and with her big heart she took everyone in as her own. Mary was a wonderful lady who lived a wonderful life and will be dearly missed by all whose life she impacted.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Jerome Ford; son, David Jay Carter; son in love, Jerry Ford; daughter, Johnna Jean Carter; daughter in love, Ana Richardson; brother, Jesse Vance; sisters, Irene Knighton and Norma Williams; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann, Travis Spencer, Gabriel Jay, Frances Jean, Johnna Alexandra, Andrea, Ana, Jessie, Josh, Ashley, Sara and Troy; as well as too many to mention great-grandchildren, and many family members and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Vance and Mary Faul.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
