Mary Frances (Stevens) Fisette

Mary Frances Fisette, 60, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020. She was born to George and Glady Stevens December 3, 1959 in Rock Island, Illinois.

Mary met her Best Friend and Husband Lee Fisette while serving in the Navy in 1981 in Long Beach, California. She served in the Navy 15 years before retiring due to her fight with Parkinson’s disease. Though the fight with disease was hard, she did her best not to show it. Mary was simple, quirky, and probably the most agreeable person anyone could meet, though she has been known to be a spitfire when she needed to be. She could say 1,000 words with just one look! Known for being the go-to person if you needed anything, and she could cut onions without shedding a tear. An exceptionally good cook with favorite dishes like her homemade pizza, chicken and dumplings, and lasagna; even a prepackaged frozen meal would become gourmet dinner with her special touch. NaNa especially loved her grandsons who were her world, and she will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Dartanyon "Lee" Fisette Sr; Son Dartanyon Lee Fisette Jr; her daughters, Thersa Marie Emmerling and husband Brandon, her sisters, Rose Bonds and Sandra Eutsler; and her grandchildren, Calvin Fisette, Austin Fisette, and Cameron Fisette.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys Stevens.

A life honoring visitation will be held Friday September 4, 2020 from 7:00-9:00PM at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
