Mary Marie Dulany

Mary Marie McCartney Dulany, age 85, of Silsbee, TX, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was born on January 27, 1940, in Eureka, Kansas.

Born with a heart inclined toward godliness, Mary lived her life as a true lady, gentle in spirit, strong in conviction, and generous in love. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and devotion, where her husband and children were nurtured not only by her care but by her steadfast walk with Jesus. She did not merely speak of faith; she lived it, every day, without hypocrisy or pretense. Her children learned to follow Christ by watching her example. On August 22, 1958, Mary married the love of her life, Ron. Together, they embarked on a lifelong mission to share the Gospel, serving as missionaries throughout South and Central America. Their partnership was a testimony, and their ministry touched countless lives. Mary was also a gifted cook, known especially for her legendary "Goo Cake", a beloved family treat. But truth be told, everything she made was delicious. She leaves behind a family edified by her example and a world better for having known her. Though she has gone ahead, her memory lives on in many hearts, until the day appointed that they see her again.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Margie Dulany of Wichita Falls, TX, Timothy Dulany and wife, Amanda, of Panama City, Panama, and Samuel Dulany and wife, Denise, of Centerville, TN; sister, Peggy Hay and husband, Russ; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of many other family members, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Mary in passing are her parents, Ernest William McCartney and Maxine Cleo McCartney; husband, Ronald Eugene Dulany; children, Daniel Dulany, and Michelle Lei Dulany; and sister, Sandra Mae Lewis.

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Mary's life honoring funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., October 16, 2025, at Lumberton Family Funeral home with interment to follow at R.S. Farmer Cemetery in Silsbee, TX.
