Marvin Ray Carrell

Mr. Marvin Ray Carrell, 74, of Silsbee passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020.

Marvin was born in Groveton, TX on March 3, 1946 to James and Frances Carrell. Those who knew him would say that he was a loving, kind, and simple man - the things that mattered most to him were his family and the people around him. He found joy in seeing those he loved happy and would do anything he could to bring that happiness to them. Marvin was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife of 57 years, Betty. An entrepreneur, he was passionate about starting numerous businesses-you could say it was his hobby. Marvin was a man loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Betty Pearce Carrell of Silsbee; his children, Marvin "Wade" Carrell and wife Pamela of Kountze, Catrina Stroud Rigby and husband Slade of Leakey, Jamie Carrell of Silsbee; his siblings, Linda Woodcock, Terry Carrell, Kathy O'Quinn-Caraway and husband Sam, Wanda Gore and husband Jerry; his grandchildren, Lauren Fleetwood and husband Joshua, Braden Carrell and wife Shan, Brook Falls-Landry and husband Cody, Jaron Falls, Addison Biedermann and husband Billy, Ty Stroud, Travis Jones and wife Ashley; as well as 8 great-grandchildren and numerous friends and extended family.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, James and Frances Carrell, and his siblings, Betty Sangwin-Gossett and Chuck Carrell.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 10:00AM at Good Samaritan Fellowship Cemetery, FM 92 Silsbee, TX 77656.
