Madison Kamp Obituary

Madison Scott Kamp, 36, stepped out of this life and into eternal life on July 30, 2024. Madison was born on September 22, 1987.  His mischievous smile would light up the room and you wondered what the prankster was going to do next.

When Madison was born, he did it in a hurry and with a veil over his face. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 says “Nevertheless, when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” At 9 months old, he was crawling over the top of the couch to get to the kitchen. He was already using his natural athletic abilities, which would be a part of his future. Madison played T-ball and baseball, but his natural talent was hockey. He played in the goalie position and was extremely talented. Jada and Mike (grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins) traveled all over the United States to see him play in tournaments. He was awarded MVP player in almost every tournament.

In his teen years, he started working at the family business, Cardinal Fence and Property Service, building fence and driving the sweeper truck.  Later he worked alongside his dad, installing and repairing gate operators. For the last 5 years, he followed in his Paw Paw’s footsteps and worked for the City of Beaumont Water Utilities Department as a Water Operator 2.

He is survived by his mother Jada Bundick Kamp; his brother, Michael; his sisters, Mikayla Kamp (Daryan Wells) of Beaumont, TX and Lali Stanley of Fort Worth, TX; his nieces and nephew, Jade and Evan Stanley of Fort Worth, TX and Ariya and Baby Wells of Beaumont, TX.  He is also survived by his uncles, Frank Kamp (Melody) of McKinney, TX, Rick Kamp (Pam) of Baytown, TX, Hermie Bundick (Patsy), Jeffery Bundick (Lydia) and aunt Karen Bundick Glidden (Keith). He leaves behind a host of cousins—Ricky, Terry, Donnie, Ronnie, Stephanie, Jason, Kim, Leah, Jacob, Aimee, Sara, Cole, Justin, Nicole, Kolin and Kevin and many great-cousins and friends who loved him so much, including his special friend Talitha Ingram, who he shared lots of laughs and good times with.

Greeting him in Heaven was his dad, Michael Leonard Kamp; grandparents, Doris and Franklin Kamp, and Shelby and Delores Bundick; and his beloved Aunt Norma and Uncle Scott.

Carrying Madison to his final place of rest are Donnie Kamp, Jason Bundick, Kolin Glidden, Kevin Glidden, Daryan Wells, Jeremy Flowers and Matt Allen.
