Mrs. Lucille (Burch) Howard, 78, of Silsbee, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Lucille was born in Orange, Texas on Friday, October 15, 1943, to AJ Burch Sr. and Inez Doies (Smith) Burch. One of nine children, Lucille grew up in a large family surrounded by love. Lucille was blessed to have travelled the world with her beloved husband of 42 years, Charles Howard as he served for 26 years with the United States Airforce. Upon Charles’ retirement from the Airforce, Lucille and Charles settled down in Silsbee, Texas. Lucille was an accomplished homemaker and deeply loved to care for her loved ones and family. A fantastic cook, Lucille could whip up culinary delights whenever called upon. Lucille’s home was always a point of pride for her, and she kept beautiful gardens for many years; in her later years she enjoyed nature and flowers especially. Lucille was a caring and loving woman, and her memory will be carried on in the hearts of those she loved.
Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, AJ Burch Jr. and partner Carolyn Apmar, Benny Dale Burch, and Barbara Janet Burch; and her good friend and companion, Johnny Ray Windfrey; as well as many friends throughout the years and all over the world.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charles Howard; her parents; and her siblings: Kenneth Presley Burch, Betty Konzavich, John Lewis Burch, Ronald "Ronnie" Aubrey Burch, and Gerald Burch.
Lucille's life honoring funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
