Lu Ann Clark

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Lu Ann Clark, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, whose heart touched everyone she met. Born on March 26, 1951, in Princeton, Indiana to Joyce Maier and Bill Smith, Lu Ann carried a vibrant spirit, generous heart, and a joyful laugh everywhere she went. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1969 and later attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

In 1997, Lu Ann married the love of her life, Malcolm Clark, and together they built a beautiful family filled with love, laughter, and faith. She was the proud mother of five children, a treasured grandmother to 13 grandchildren and a deeply proud great-grandmother who lit up whenever she talked about them. Her family was the joy of her life, and she never missed a chance to show them off.

Lu Ann loved adventures, especially spending time on cruises with her loved ones, where she created unforgettable memories full of laughter. She had a gift for giving—always finding ways to bless others and make them feel special. She also had a deep appreciation for flowers, finding joy in their beauty and the life they brought to her home. Above all, Lu Ann loved Jesus, and her faith shone brightly in every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, and every moment she gave herself to others. She lived with grace, joy, and unwavering devotion to her family and her Savior.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Malcolm Clark; children, Shawna Oliver, Michelle Elko, Keith Clark and spouse, Heather Clark, and Katie Craigen and spouse, Joey Craigen; sister, Susan Perry; brother, William Newcome; daughter-in-law, Jana Kenney-Reed; grandchildren, Logan, Tyler, Demi, Chase, Breanna, Alexis, Jonah, Cade, Brody, Hallie, Grayson, Gabriel, and Sophia; great-grandchild, Charly; best friends forever, Glinda Cole and husband, Al, and Margie Allen; as well as numerous other family members, friends, and loved ones.

Lu Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce Maier and Bill Smith, and her beloved son, Chris Reed.

She will be deeply missed, but her love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in peace, Lu Ann—you were truly a gift to this world, and you will forever be in our hearts.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Lu Ann's life honoring memorial service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday August 16, 2025, at Lumberton Family Funeral Home.
