Louie Sarver Obituary

Mr. Louie “Bud” Elmer Sarver, 87, of Vidor passed away Friday evening October 01, 2021. On October 8, 1933, Louie E. Sarver and his twin sister were born to Henry "Martin" Sarver and Falber Lee Sarver in Rose City.

Louie was employed at the post office in Vidor for more than twenty-five years and after retirement he became a much-loved school security guard at Vidor High School. He was also a graduate who lettered in all three of the sports that were available when he graduated in the 50’s. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he attended the Kings Men Sunday School class and was active in the Vidor community. Louie loved taking care of his animals, feeding his birds and squirrels every morning. He enjoyed throwing the football and playing pitch with his grandchildren as well as a good game of Ping Pong and wouldn’t hesitate to remind everyone he was The Ping Pong Champion while in the Airforce, which by the way he remained until this day! He is loved and will be greatly missed.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believe in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Bricky and Joni would like to thank all of the family and friends for the love and kindness that was shown for their parents during this time. They would like to extend a special thank you to Harvey Day and Billy McBride for the countless acts of love during this journey.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 61 years, Beverly Ann Sarver; his children, Bricky Lee Sarver and wife Gina, Joni LaNae Croak and husband Kenny; his grandchildren, Miranda Christine Firebaugh and husband Kevin, Lauren Kay Daniel and husband Trey, Breana Lee LeJeune and husband Cody, Meghan Elizabeth O’Rourke, Tanner Paul-James Valentine, Shane Patrick Croak and wife Andrea, Brad Allen Croak and wife Lindsay; his great-grandchildren, Kaylee Firebaugh, Grant Daniel, Garrett Daniel, Nolan Croak, Gwyneth Croak, Millie Croak, and Milo Croak, as well as many nieces and nephews.
