Lonnie Franklin Beard

Lonnie Franklin Beard, age 86, of Lumberton, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022. He was born in Port Arthur, on December 20, 1935, to James Louis Beard Sr. and Daisy Shutter Beard.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Barbara Ann Beard; daughter, Mitzie Willman and husband, Ronnie; brother, Roy Beard and wife, Margie of Lumberton; sister, Mary Harris and husband, Joseph “Bob”, of Lumberton; sisters-in-law, Brenda Ward and husband, Aubrey, Bobbie Bean and husband, Jerry, Lesa Marshall, and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Dustin Prince, and Heather Willman; great-grandchildren, Bentley Franklin Prince, and Jacelyn Prince; and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Preceding Lonnie in death are his parents; son, Jeffrey Sterling Beard; daughter, Vickie Prince; brothers, James L. “Jimmy” Beard Jr., Willard Beard, and Glenn Beard.

Lonnie’s life honoring memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Lumberton Family Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Bertrand officiating.
