Linda Sue (Jordan) Hinson

Linda Sue Hinson, age 74, passed away on Thursday July 4, 2024. She was born in Honey Island, TX, on August 1, 1949, to J.R. And Jessie Lee Jordan.

Linda had an amazing memory! She was “on top of it”; she never forgot names, numbers, birthdays or anniversaries, and because of that memory, Linda took care of everything and was very organized. She spoiled the kids, and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Linda loved Avon, and convinced a neighbor near by to become an Avon rep so that she could buy from her, but she wanted the magazine and paper order forms right there in front of her, none of that online stuff! She made the best Chicken and Rice and was even known for her Hamburger Helper. If you were to stop by for a visit, she more than likely had one of her gameshows or soap operas on; she never wanted to miss “The Young and The Restless” or “The Price is Right”.

Left to cherish her memory are her significant other John Terry;  sons, Herman Hinson Jr. and wife Betty Jo, Michael Hinson and wife Sarah, and Joey Hinson; daughter Robin Hinson Williams and husband PeeWee; brother, Don Jordan and wife Tootsie; sister, Peggy Fails and husband Jim; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and countless extended family and friends over the years.

Preceding her in death are her parents; brothers, Howard Jordan, Leon Jordan, and Ronnie Jordan; and sister, Judy Clark
